What a fun project this was. Thanks to my Sis for her help as well, otherwise I'd still be up the wazoo in decoupage glue! I purchased this old tattered suitcase from our local artisan market. I painted the trim with Americana Decor (AD) Chalky Finish in "Refreshment" and finished it with AD Matte Varnish. I purchased the fabric online from Shabby Fabrics which were cut up to decoupage the exterior and pieces sewn together for the interior. The lace and ribbons were purchased at our local art/craft store. A lot of hours went in to this makeover but every minute was well worth it. What a difference too. I also placed a sheet of scented lining paper in the lace pocket for that added touch. Now, what to do with this suitcase?
