8/25/2016 0 Comments RUSTIC INDUSTRIAL STYLE TABLEWe just delivered this table to a business in town. It took hubby three weeks and two days to complete. Our biggest worry was the climate humidity level since we do not have a climate control woodshop. Fortunately we didn't have too many humid days to worry about, possibly two at the most. Hubby is the "carpenter" for Studio M22. Just the other day he told me that he's happy making these tables. He really enjoys piddling around in his wood shop and thank the Lord, he's found something he enjoys doing and that's keeping him busy! Who says life slows down after retirement?! This is the first "industrial" table Don has made. All the others were considered "farm tables" because of the type of legs used. Farm table have 2x4's for legs. This is the first table with "black plumbers pipe". We're very thankful to our favorite brother-in-law, Fernie, who's muscles we utilized for transporting the table. The table had to be delivered in two separate pieces, the pipe legged frame and the tabletop. The clock is ticking here just like it does at the end of Jeopardy's final question. Making sure every thing fits exactly the way it did back at the wood shop can be nerve racking and it did!! WHEW! Unlike the farm tables Don builds, this tabletop has been put together with the use of the Kreg Jig system. Gives the surface a smooth top, and joins the boards together from underneath. The screws on our farm tables are screwed in from the top giving it a more primitive look (click on the "Custom Work" tab at the top of this page and scroll down to see our farm tables).
